Mariann W Steffen (Wilson) passed peacefully from a long illness on June 29, 2019 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers, Indiana, at the age of 76.

Mariann is survived by her husband William E Steffen and her brother Daniel “Bill” Wilson. She has six children: Jeanne, Cheryl, John, David, Carolyn, and Michael. She also has six grandchildren: Sean, Melissa, Matthew, Katherine, Emily, and Stephen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Cecelia Wilson and her sister, Shirley Stiefvater.

Mariann was born on March 23, 1943 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Daniel and Cecelia Wilson. She attended the University of Wyoming and earned degrees from the University of Idaho and IUPUI. She worked as a nurse and later was a writer. She was a lifetime scholar and loved obtaining knowledge. She enjoyed traveling, and she loved nature.

A private funeral is scheduled for Friday, July 5 at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a cancer research organization or mental health organization of your choice.
